3 friends from Tryon, Ron, John & Cee Cee, joined us in Marsh Harbor.  We cruised to Green Turtle Cay (Key West’s sister city), Hopetown (on Elbow Cay), small out islands & back to Marsh Harbor.  Great exploring, golf cart adventures, beautiful beaches, too much good eating & plenty of fun sightseeing adventures.   We all flew back to Tryon well rested & a little tanner.

After a few days on our own exploring Nassau & celebrating Alan’s Valentine’s Day birthday with Laura & Catherine at the Lyford Cay Club, Peter & Graham from New Zealand & Dave & Scott from Saugatuck flew in.  We cruised to the Exumas & enjoyed the beautiful blue/green water & sandy beaches.  Back to Atlantis & the 6 of us flew back to the States.  We went back to Tryon for a couple weeks to get caught up with our NC life.

Alan and our friend Sam took the maiden voyage from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West with a night moored off Key Largo (amazing sunset).  Trip drove Dylan & Dugan down to meet us at the Key West City Marina.  We had several parties aboard for a lot of old Key West friends while Trip’s parents, Bud & Joann, stayed onboard for a week.  After a couple weeks she heads north to Ft. Lauderdale to get ready for a season in the Bahamas.

We were fortunate to find Tally-Ho in Ft. Lauderdale in December, 2009 after looking for 5 years.  She is a navy blue hulled 1988 Burger, 81′ Gentleman’s Motor Yacht.  3 state rooms + 2 crew quarters.   After interviewing for a few days we hired Scott & Cassandra to be our Captain/1st Mate.  Very excited to start our trip.  We spent Christmas in Tryon while they provisioned the boat for us.
